As a freelance product designer, I supported the design of the OVHcloud Data Platform, previously known as ForePaaS — a complex cloud-native solution enabling companies to build, deploy, and monitor their data applications at scale.
My mission began with a deep dive into the product’s existing interface and user flows, followed by a collaborative effort with the product team to identify usability issues and streamline the overall user experience. I worked on multiple parts of the platform, including onboarding, project management flows, and data pipeline visualization tools.
I also contributed to the creation of a modular design system, tailored to the specific needs of a highly technical product — ensuring interface consistency, scalability, and ease of maintenance across a wide set of features. The system was designed to support both dark and light themes and to remain flexible as the product evolved within the OVHcloud ecosystem.
The mission required working closely with developers, PMs, and internal stakeholders in an agile environment, balancing business needs with the complexity of data engineering workflows — always with a strong focus on clarity, hierarchy, and usability for technical users.
